LEI OU GRAÇA: SEGUNDA PARTE

Criaram-se uma discussão vazia ao longo dos séculos. O inimigo número um de Deus lançou a semente da discórdia sobre algo que o Senhor estabeleceu desde o começo. É perigoso adotarmos um discurso contrário à vontade de Deus. Defender o fim da Lei de Deus é estar jogando no mesmo time do Diabo. É possível ser crente, cristão e jogar no mesmo time do Diabo. Isso é perfeitamente possível porque ele mesmo crê, mas não obedece. Ele não é submisso a Deus.

Stricto sensus falando, não é o fim da Lei de Deus que se advogam, mas a mudança do Quarto Mandamento da Lei de Deus. Então se criaram a dicotomia lei-graça. Isso é lamentável; mas a realidade.

A Lei e a Graça estão sendo enfatizadas de forma errada. Colocá-las num ring e ficar na torcida por uma ou outra; é estratégia maquiavélica. O único que sai ganhando com essa discussão é o Diabo. É ele que jogou no ring a Lei de Deus e a Graça de Deus. Como pode haver oposição de ideias vinda da mesma pessoa, aliás, de Deus? Ponha uma coisa em sua cabeça, caro leitor, Deus não se contradiz.

Não seria muita incongruência de pessoas cristãs defenderem o fim da lei e ao mesmo tempo pregar que se deve obedecer a Deus? É por uma razão simples que a vasta maioria dos cristãos vive nessa incongruência. Eles usam inúmeros argumentos, e todos fracos e inconsistentes, só para se livrarem do Quarto Mandamento da Lei Áurea de Deus, isto é, dos Dez Mandamentos de Deus. É impossível tirar o Quarto Mandamento da Lei de Deus, pois o próprio Tiago diz que aquele que tropeçar em um, é culpado de todos. Das duas uma, ou se aceita toda Lei, ou se rejeita toda Lei. Não existe possibilidade do meio termo.

É nesse ponto que os Católicos são mais sinceros e coerentes, mesmo estão errados. Eles são categóricos em dizer que a Igreja tem autoridade e fez a mudança do dia de repouso. Os protestantes dizem que usam a Bíblia como única autoridade eclesiástica; já os católicos têm duas fontes de autoridades religiosas: a Bíblia e a Tradição. Quando os protestantes tentam tirar a validade do Quarto Mandamento, eles estão sendo católicos, pois estão defendendo a mesma ideia de autoridade religiosa da Bíblia e da Tradição. Os católicos têm o primeiro dia da semana (o Domingo) para descansar, já os protestantes, evangélicos, pentecostais, e etc, também pregam e descansam no primeiro dia da semana (o Domingo), ou qualquer dia. Todos condenam o descanso no sétimo dia (Sábado), mesmo sendo tão claro em toda Bíblia. Todos eles acusam os pouquíssimos cristãos que guardam o dia sétimo de judaizantes. Aqueles cristãos (mesmo sendo minoria) que guardam o sábado (sétimo dia da semana) estão sendo lógicos, congruentes, e obedientes a Deus; pois é assim que o texto bíblico diz de Gênesis a Apocalipse.

Caro leitor, você sabe por que o Diabo mirou o Quarto Mandamento e incitou a maioria dos cristãos a se rebelar contra ele? Você sabe por que Satanás ama quando um crente detona com o Sábado (Quarto Mandamento)? Você sabe por que o mundo odeia esse mandamento e não faz nenhum esforço para obedecê-lo? E você sabe por que sempre houve pessoas, minoria bem verdade, mas sempre houve pessoas pregando a obediência a esse mandamento? E você sabe por que no clímax do fim do mundo, o Quarto Mandamento será o ponto de discussão entre o bem e mal nos quatro cantos do mundo? As palavras do teólogo Abel R. Molina vai responder todas essas perguntas. Veja:

“Guardo o sábado porque ele me faz lembrar que sou filho do Deus criador e não de um deus falso ou pagão que não tem poder de criar nada. Sem dúvida, o mandamento do sábado é o mais importante da Lei de Deus (Lei Áurea, Dez Mandamentos). Se um adorador de ídolos ler os nove mandamentos restantes, sem que tenha conhecimento do mandamento do sábado, ele chegará à conclusão que seu deus, o ídolo que ele adora, exige dele todos os requisitos que estão nos nove mandamentos restantes, pois sem o mandamento do sábado a Lei de Deus fica sem identificação do deus que a promulgou. É no quarto mandamento do Decálogo que está autenticado quem é o autor ou o legislador dessa Lei. É Ele o mesmo Deus descrito nos capítulos um, dois de Gênesis. É o que criou o homem, os animais, a vegetação, o sol, a lua, as estrelas. É o que abençoou e santificou o sétimo dia da semana. É o Todo Poderoso, aquele que instituiu o sábado dia da semana servindo de memorial da bela Criação. Se todos observassem o quarto mandamento que ordena santificar o sábado, não haveria nenhum ateu, evolucionista ou incrédulo” (p. 45)

Esse mandamento número quatro é uma demonstração de que Deus nos ama e nos alcança com sua infinita Graça. Separar lei e graça é o pior desserviço que um crente pode prestar a Deus, e muitos, no afã de se livrar do Quarto Mandamento, andam pregando o fim da Lei de Deus. Muito cuidado com isso! A Graça de Deus sempre existiu, a Lei também. Pelo menos esse ponto deve ficar claro para você, caro leitor; entre a lei e a graça há uma função distinta e complementar. A graça serve para salvar o homem, e a lei serve para proteger o mesmo homem nos caminhos do Senhor. Caminhos este do Deus Criador de todas as coisas e não de um deus pagão. “Bem-aventurados os... que andam na Lei do Senhor” Salmo 119:1.

People have been created an empty discussion over the centuries. The number one enemy of God sowed the seeds of discord about a theme that the Lord has set since from the beginning. It is dangerous to adopt a speech against to God's will. To defend the end of God's law is to be playing on the same Devil’s team. You can be a believer, a Christian and play on the Devil’s team. This can happen because even Satan believes, but does not obey. He is not submitted to God. Stricto sensus speaking, it is not the end of God's law that people advocate, but the changing of the Fourth Commandment of God's Law. So, they have created the dichotomy law-grace.

The law and grace are being emphasized in the wrong way. Put them in a ring and take part for either is not good. It is Machiavellian strategy. The only one who wins with this discussion is the Devil’s team. It is he who cast off in the ring God's law and God's grace. How can there be opposition of ideas coming from the same person, from God? Put it in your head, dear reader, God is not against Himself.

It would be much incongruity for Christian people to defend the end of the law while they are preaching obedience to God. It is for a simple reason that the vast majority of Christians is taking this incongruity. They use a lot of argumentations just to get rid of the Fourth Commandment of the Golden Law of God, that is, the Ten Commandments of God. It's impossible to take out the Fourth Commandment from God's Law, because James himself says that he who stumbles across one, is guilty of all. One from two, or we accept all law, or reject all law. There is no possibility to compromise with half of it.

This is why Catholics are more sincere and consistent, even they’re being wrong. They are quick to mention that the Church has authority to change the day of rest. Protestants say they use the Bible as the only ecclesiastical authority; but Catholics have two sources of religious authority: the Bible and Tradition. When Protestants try to take out the validity of the Fourth Commandment, they are being Catholics, because they are defending the very idea of ​​religious authority of the Bible and Tradition. Catholics have the first day of the week (Sunday) to rest, as the Protestants, evangelicals, Pentecostals, etc. And they also preach and rest on the first day of the week (Sunday), or any day. They condemn all people who rest on the seventh day (Saturday), even it being so clear throughout the Bible. They accuse the very few Christians who keep the seventh day of Judaism. Those Christians (even a minority) who keep the Sabbath (the seventh day of the week) are being logical, consistent, and obedient to God; because that's what the biblical text says from Genesis to Revelation.

Dear reader, do you know why the Devil is against the Fourth Commandment and urge almost all Christians to rebel in this question? Do you know why Satan loves when a believer fight against the Sabbath (Fourth Commandment)? Do you know why the world hates this commandment and makes no effort to obey him? And you know why there were always people preaching obedience to this commandment? And do you know why the climax of the end of the world, the Fourth Commandment will be the point of discussion between good and evil in the four corners of the world? The words of the theologian R. Abel Molina will answer all these questions. See:

"I keep the Sabbath because it reminds me that I am a child of God the creator, not a false god or pagan who has no power to create anything. Undoubtedly, the Sabbath commandment is the most important of God's Law (Golden Law, the Ten Commandments). If an idol worshiper read the other nine commandments, without the Sabbath commandment, he will conclude that his god, the idol which he adores, requires him all the requirements that are in the nine remaining commandments. Without the Saturday commandment, the law of God gets without God’s signature. It is the fourth commandment of the Decalogue which is authenticated who is the author or the legislator of that Act. He is the same God described in chapters one, two of Genesis. It was God who created man, animals, vegetation, the sun, the moon, the stars. It was God who blessed and sanctified the seventh day of the week. It is the Almighty, who instituted the Sabbath day serving as a memorial of the beautiful creation. If all people observe the fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath holy, there would be no atheist, evolutionary or unbeliever "(p. 45)

This commandment number four is a demonstration that God loves us and reaches us with his infinite grace. Separate law and grace is the worst disaster that a believer can render to God. Many people desire to get rid of the Fourth Commandment. They are preaching the end of God's law. Be careful about this! The grace of God has always existed, the law also. At least, this point should be clear to you, dear reader; between law and grace there is a distinct and complementary role. Grace serves to save the man, and the law is to protect the same man in the ways of the Lord. The ways of God Creator is different from pagan gods. "Blessed are those ... who walk in the law of the Lord" Psalm 119: 1.

OS 144 MIL: PARA ALÉM DA DISCUSSÃO!

Li vários teólogos que falavam do tema dos 144 mil de Apocalipse 7 e 14. Li também vários outros comentários sobre o mesmo tema. Li e refleti muito sobre os textos bíblicos onde se encontram a menção desse grupo muito especial. Como um estudante de língua que sou; e como um admirador da filosofia; cheguei à seguinte conclusão: o tema dos 144 mil está muito além do que pensamos ou interpretamos. Jesus será a pessoa que explicará tudo! Hoje temos uma capacidade muito pequena para entender algo tão divino. Amanhã, quando Jesus voltar e nos resgatar para os Céus, teremos uma capacidade intelectual como antes da queda do homem. Mesmo assim, quero pontuar sobre a amplitude do significado e representação desse grupo pra lá de especial.

O clímax da história do mundo caído será algo extremamente sem explicação nos seus detalhes. Tanto do lado dos perdidos como do lado dos salvos haverá situações e acontecimentos sobrenaturais e inimagináveis. Ninguém conseguirá conceber detalhes do fim; somente quem viver verá. Homens de ambas as partes terão que ser os melhores. Nas competições olímpicas, por exemplo, as finais são feitas só pelos melhores. Até chegar às finais, muitos são eliminados. Os fracos serão eliminados pela seleção natural das situações. Os momentos finais do Grande Conflito serão espantosos; e por incrível que pareça; reais. Somos tentados a simbolizar demais as coisas do Apocalipse. Comete-se muito esse erro: simbolizar demais, ou ‘literalizar’ demais; e não estou imune a isso. É uma questão muito difícil! Só o Espírito Santo pode nos orientar as verdadeiras fronteiras entre literal e o simbólico no livro do Apocalipse.

Lá em Apocalipse, esse grupo é mencionado em um contexto de muita efervescência catastrófica. A mensagem que fica é: OS CRENTES FRACOS NÃO TERÃO CHANCE ALGUMA nesse tempo. Outra coisa que fica claro no texto é que esse tema não constitui um ponto que pode fazer você se perder por não entendê-lo.

As teorias que apareceram sobre os 144 mil são várias, mas vale ressaltar as que dizem que eles são: a) os judeus da Palestina que vão aceitar Jesus como o Messias; b) número simbólico; c) número literal; d) mesclado. Podemos descartar a opção (a) porque é impossível reagrupar os judeus em tribos novamente. Ficam então as demais teorias para debate. E meus comentários não têm a intenção de dizer que uma é correta e outra é incorreta. Quero dizer que temos que pensar muito mais além do que cada teoria diz.

Os adeptos do simbolismo desse número alegam que, por haver muita simbologia nas duas passagens, a interpretação deve ser simbólica. Já os adeptos da literalidade dizem que há fatos textuais que provam que o grupo dos 144 mil é literal. Os estudiosos do meio termo usam partes de ambos os argumentos.

O teólogo Alberto Timm diz em artigo que o grupo dos 144 mil é a “última geração dos verdadeiros adoradores de Deus”. E esse grupo é ultra-especial porque tem características ímpares difíceis de achar em uma pessoa. Os componentes desse grupo são: marcados, resistentes, músicos, fiéis, cristãos autênticos, redimidos e especiais. Realmente são qualificações extremamente difíceis de encontrar em alguém. Os crentes fracos realmente não terão vez.

Quero chamar a atenção para alguns detalhes. Preste atenção à qualificação deles, à amplitude do evento, à solenidade e ao embate. Já comentamos quanto à qualificação. Estaremos vivendo os últimos momentos. O evento de finalização do Grande Conflito deve ser de amplitude total. Os números que aparecem no texto são reveladores quanto à amplitude. O 4, o 12 são recorrentes. Os teólogos dizem que o 7 é o número da perfeição. O número 4 é humano; pois ele representa a totalidade e a universalidade para o homem. O 3 é o número de Deus, pois representa o Pai, o Filho e o Espírito Santo. O homem e Deus (4+3) resultam em perfeição das ações (7). O 12 é o número da escolha de Deus; é o número do Governo aprovado por Deus (4X3=12). Os governos orientados por Deus aqui na terra foram encabeçados pelo número 12 (12 tribos, 12 apóstolos...). Lá no Céu e na Nova Terra esse número continuará; basta olhar para as descrições do Apocalipse. Quando o Senhor usou a linguagem dos 144 mil (12X12X1000) Ele estava indicando que não seria um evento local, mas universal. Todos habitantes da face da terra (que escolherem o Senhor) experimentarão as promessas e refletirão as qualidades do cristão autêntico praticando toda a verdade. Antes do clímax final pessoas podiam ser salvas praticando parte da verdade, ou seja, o que ela sabia e compreendia. Mas nesse tempo (no clímax final) todos terão que saber e praticar toda a verdade como registrado na Bíblia. E o enfoque estará nos Mandamentos de Deus.

A solenidade é grandiosa. Não vou registrar, mas você pode pegar sua Bíblia e ler os versos dos 144 mil e verá que haverá solenidade total. Esse grupo tem regalias. Ele é especial porque suas qualificações excedem a todos os demais. E não foram conquistadores por méritos próprios, mas pelo sangue do Cordeiro, de Jesus que morreu na Cruz. Nessa solenidade toda fica uma lição para todos os cristãos: TODA HONRA É DO SENHOR JESUS. Se você faz alguma coisa de grandioso e toma posse das honras, cuidado! Provavelmente o seu senhor é o ANTICRISTO.

Quanto ao embate, eu quero me ater mais. Os 144 mil é o grupo do contraste. Ele contrasta com quem? Ele se contrasta com os adoradores da Besta. Veja que esse grupo, os 144 mil, recebe a marca de Deus (“...até selarmos na fronte os servos do nosso Deus”). Em Apocalipse 13 os adoradores da Besta recebem a marca da Besta (“...seja dada certa marca sobre a mão direita ou sobre a fronte ‘testa’”). O embate é de amplitude mundial. Fica fácil entender o embate. Hoje o cristianismo virou moda e encontramos cristãos de todo tipo: os que dançam rock’n’roll, os que casam com pessoas do mesmo sexo, os que negam os mandamentos de Deus, os que negam metade da Bíblia... O Estado vai unir com a Igreja novamente, como diz o Apocalipse 13; e essa união criará uma lista negra de rebeldes da religião oficial. E quem você acha que comporão essa lista? O grupo dos 144 mil! Sendo ele simbólico, literal ou mesclado; terá que enfrentar os adoradores da Besta.

É nesse momento que chego à seguinte conclusão que vai além da discussão da questão simbólica, literal... A igreja remanescente será proibida pelo Estado. É nesse momento que, textualmente vejo que o selamento vai começar. A igreja remanescente se tornará a igreja perseguida. Nesse tempo, que já vivemos a iminência; que os fracos não terão vez. Toda a estrutura da igreja remanescente será confiscada pelo Estado, porque essa igreja não concordará em pisar o mandamento específico que identifica o Criador. É nesse tempo que o chamado decreto dominical operará em toda intensidade. Essa lei do dia de descanso visa apenas afrontar a autoria criadora de Deus.

Quem está na igreja remanescente e ama mais a estrutura organizacional que o próprio Jesus e as pessoas, cederão às pressões do Estado. Por enquanto a igreja remanescente está fazendo o seu papel. Não sabemos quando exatamente a igreja remanescente deixará de ter sua eficácia; mas sabemos que Deus já está preparando o grupo dos 144 mil. Assim como a profecia dita por Jesus em Mateus 24 teve (tem) dupla aplicação (para Israel literal e Espiritual), provavelmente o grupo dos 144 mil pode ter também. Nem tudo é simbólico no texto que fala dos 144 mil, por exemplo, a marca de Deus. Por isso deve ter alguma aplicação também literal, apesar dos argumentos dos defensores da aplicação simbólica serem fortes e coerentes.

Melhor que abraçarmos uma explicação é pedirmos a Deus e lutarmos para ter um caráter e qualificação desse grupo. Força, sabedoria, santidade são qualidades que devemos perseguir sempre. A grande tribulação não é para os fracos. Resistir, pregar, viver no tempo crítico que está na iminência de vir só é para pessoa que tem a qualificação do grupo dos 144 mil.

I have read several theologians who spoke of 144,000 issue in Revelation 7 and 14. I have also read several other commentators on the same subject. I have read and reflected on the biblical texts where this very special group is mentioned. As a language student who I am; and as an admirer of philosophy too; I have come to the following conclusion: the question of 144,000 is far beyond what we think or interpret. Jesus is the person who will explain everything! Today we have a very small capacity to understand something so divine. Tomorrow, when Jesus comes back and rescues us to heaven, we will have an intellectual capacity as before the fall of man. Even so, I want to think on the range of the meaning and representation of that very special group.

The climax of the story of the fallen world will be something extremely unthinkable in its details. Affecting sides, the lost and the saved one, there will be situations, supernatural and unimaginable events. No one can conceive details of this event; only those who live will see. Men of both sides will have to be the best. In Olympic competitions, for example, the finals are made only by the best. Until the finals, many are eliminated. The weak will be eliminated by natural selection situations. The final moments of the Great Controversy will be amazing; believe or not, real. We are tempted to symbolize Revelation too much. We commit error like this: symbolize, or 'literalize' a lot the book of Revelation. And I'm not immune to that. It's a very difficult question! Only the Holy Spirit can guide us the true boundaries between the literal and the symbolic part of Revelation.

In Revelation, the group is mentioned in a context of many catastrophes. The message remains: WEAK BELIEVERS DO NOT HAVE ANY CHANCE in that time. Another thing that is clear in the text of 144 thousands is that this issue is not a point that can make you lose the eternal life for not understand it.

The theories that have appeared on the 144,000 are several, but it is noteworthy to say that they are: a) the Palestinian Jews who will accept Jesus as the Messiah; b) symbolic number; c) literal number; d) mixed. We can rule out the option (a) because it is impossible to reunite the Jewish tribes again. So, there are others theories for debate. And my comments are not intended to say that one is right and other is wrong. I mean that we have to think much beyond what each theory says.

The People of the symbolism for that number claims that, the interpretation should be symbolic because there is a lot of symbolism in both chapters. The followers of literalness say that there is textual facts which prove that group of 144,000 is literal. And there are scholars that use both arguments because they find literal elements and symbolic ones.

The theologian Alberto Timm says in an article that the group of 144,000 is the "last generation of true worshipers of God." And this group is too special because it has unique features hard to find in one person. The components of this group are: sealed, resistant, musicians, true, authentic Christians, redeemed and special. Those qualifications are extremely difficult to find in someone. The weak believers will not have any chance in that time.

I want to you pay attention to some details. Pay attention to the qualification, the magnitude of the event, the solemnity and the clash. We have commented on the qualification. We will be living at the last moments on the Earth. The finalization of Great Controversy must be comprehensive. The numbers that appear in the text are revealing the amplitude of this event. Number 4 and 12 are recurrent. Theologians say that number 7 is the number of perfection. The number 4 is human. It represents the totality and universality to man. Number 3 is the number of God. It represents the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The man and God (4 + 3) result in perfection of action (7). Number 12 is the number of God's choice. It is the number of government approved by God (4X3 = 12). Governments guided by God here on earth were headed by number 12 (12 tribes, 12 apostles ...). In Heaven and in the New Earth that number will continue; just look at the descriptions of the book of Revelation. When the Lord had used the language of 144 000 (12X12X1000) He was indicating that it would not be a local event, but universal. All inhabitants of the earth (who choose the Lord) will experience the promises and reflect the authentic Christian qualities doing all the truth. Before the final climax people could be saved practicing part of true, that is, people had to be faithful in what he did know. But in the final climax God’s people has to understand all the truth and to practice all the truth as written in the Bible. The focus will be in the Ten Commandments.  

The solemnity is great. I will not register here, but you can pick up your Bible and read the verses that speak about of 144,000 and you will see that there will be great solemnity. This group has perks. It is special because their qualifications exceed all others. And it will not be conquerors in its own right, but the Lamb's blood, Jesus, who died on the Cross. This whole solemnity is a great lesson for all Christians: ALL HONOR IS TO THE LORD JESUS. If you do something great and you take possession of the honors, beware! Probably his master is the ANTICHRIST.

Speaking about the clash, I want to remain anymore. The 144,000 is the group of contrast. It contrasts with whom? It contrasts with the worshipers of the Beast. Look at this group, 144,000, it will receive the mark of God ("... till after we have sealed in the foreheads of the servants of our God"). In Revelation 13 the worshipers of the Beast receive the mark of the Beast ("...that these should be marked on their right hand or on their forehead'). The clash is world-wide. It is easy to understand the clash. Christianity today has become fashionable and we can find Christians of all kinds: the dancing rock'n'roll, those who marry persons of the same sex, those who deny the commandments of God, those who deny half of the Bible ... The State will join together with the Church again, as the Revelation 13 says; and this union will create a black list of religious rebels. And who do you think will make up this list? The group of 144,000! Being symbolic, literal or mixed; You will have to face the worshipers of the Beast if you are God’s people indeed.

I reach the following conclusion that goes beyond the discussion of the symbolic, literal or mixed issue. The remnant church will be prohibited by the State. In this moment, the sealing will start. The remnant church will become the persecuted church. At that time, the weak will die or give up of your faith. The entire structure of the remnant church will be confiscated by the State, because that church will not agree to abandon the true commandment that identify who is the Creator. It will be at this time that the so-called Sunday Law will work in all its intensity.

Who that is the remnant church and who that loves the organizational structure more than Jesus himself and his people, this one will yield the State pressures. For now, the remnant church is doing its part. We do not know when exactly the remnant church will cease to be effective; but we know that God is already preparing the group of 144,000. As the prophecy spoken by Jesus in Matthew 24 has had dual application, (for literal Israel and Spiritual); probably the group of 144,000 may have as well. Not everything is symbolic in the text which speaks about of 144 000, for example, the mark of God is literal. So, it should have some literal application too, despite the arguments of the defenders of the symbolic application being strong and consistent.

Rather than embrace an explanation it would be better ask and fight to have a character; and qualification of this group. Strength, wisdom, holiness are qualities that we should pursue forever. The great tribulation is not for the weak people. To resist, to preach, to live at the critical time; is just for the person who has the qualification like group of 144,000.

Eu quero começar parabenizando todos os cristãos que mantém firme a ordem de Deus quanto em descansar no sétimo dia. Como disse o profeta; Deus não muda. E há algumas igrejas cristãs que guardam e pregam o descanso nesse dia. Além dos Judeus, houve e ainda há pessoas que não se dobraram ao repouso no dia pagão. Posso citar os Batistas do Sétimos Dia, os Adventistas do Sétimo Dia e muitas outras; e também muitas pessoas que decidiram não ir a nenhuma denominação e estão guardando o dia de repouso bíblico. Quero contar a história em poucas palavras do sábado bíblico. Quero seguir uma linha histórica eclesiástica.

Tudo começou lá no Éden! Aliás, há evidência que o repouso no sétimo dia é anterior ao Éden. Deus já era adorado pelos anjos e os seres criados por Ele nesse dia. Mas vamos tomar o Gênesis como ponto de partida. O capítulo 2 e os versos 1 ao 3 são claros: “Assim ficaram completos o céu e a terra, com tudo aquilo que contêm. No sétimo dia, Deus tinha completado a sua obra e nesse sétimo dia Deus descansou dos trabalhos que tinha vindo a fazer. Deus abençoou o sétimo dia e fez dele um dia sagrado, pois foi o dia em que ele descansou de todo o trabalho de criação que tinha feito”. Da Criação a Moisés foram mais de 2 mil anos. Durante todo esse tempo o Sábado era o dia de descanso e reservado para adorar a Deus. Isso prova que o argumento que o sábado é para judeu não funciona. Na verdade o sábado é para a humanidade e a terra descansarem.

Dentre as dezenas de citações sobre o sábado, quero citar só mais um do Antigo Testamento: “Façam dos meus sábados dias santificados, para que sejam um sinal de aliança entre mim e vós, para que se saiba que eu sou o SENHOR, vosso Deus” (Ez. 20:20). É uma declaração forte! Ninguém pode negar.

O argumento que Jesus mudou o dia de repouso é falso. Há dezenas de citações diretas quanto ao sábado e nenhuma diz respeito a sua mudança ou anulação. A pessoa deve ser muito ruim de interpretação de texto para achar que alguma fala de Jesus esteja cancelando o quarto mandamento. “Com efeito, o Filho do Homem é Senhor do próprio sábado” (Mt 12:8); “E acrescentou: «O sábado foi criado por causa do homem e não o homem por causa do sábado. Por isso, o Filho do Homem tem autoridade sobre o próprio sábado” (Mc 2:27,28); “Havia pessoas que queriam ver se ele ia curá-lo ao sábado para poderem acusá-lo. Jesus disse então ao homem da mão aleijada: «Levanta-te e vem aqui para o meio.» Depois perguntou aos outros: «A nossa lei manda fazer bem ao sábado ou fazer mal? Manda salvar uma vida ou deixá-la morrer?»” (Mc 3:2,4).

Outro argumento fraco e furado é dizer que o apóstolo Paulo aboliu o descanso no sábado. A única vez que ele fala de sábado é em Colossenses 2:16 e 17. E nesta passagem ele estava se referindo aos feriados judaicos que se chamavam de sábado porque este nome significa descanso, cessação de trabalho. Se você pensar ou interpretar que Paulo estava falando do sábado semanal estará pondo em dúvida esse texto sobre a mesma pessoa: “Como era seu costume, Paulo foi lá e durante três sábados falou com eles sobre a Sagrada Escritura” (At 17:2).

Caro leitor, se você não guarda o sábado, é uma decisão sua. Você é soberano. Dizer que o descanso no sábado, sétimo dia da semana, não é bíblico, isso constitui um erro grave que pesará no Juízo Final (clique aqui). Satanás ataca esse dia instituído pelo Senhor porque ele é o sinal de Deus. É o sinal da autoridade de Deus. Guardar o sábado é um sinal de 1) obediência, 2) pertença, 3) amor, 4) reconhecimento da Criação e 5) liberdade.

THE REST ON SATURDAY

I want to start by congratulating all the Christians who stands firm as God asked to rest on the seventh day. As said the prophet; God does not change. And there are some Christian’s churches that preach and keep the rest in that day. In addition to the Jews, there were and there are still people who have not bowed to rest in the pagan day. I can mention the Seventh Day Baptists, Seventh-Day Adventists and many others; and also many people who has not decided to join to any denomination, but even so, they are guarding the biblical day of rest. I want to tell the story in a few words of the Bible Sabbath. I want to follow an ecclesiastical storyline.

It all started there in Eden! In fact, there is evidence that the rest on the seventh day is prior to Eden. God was already worshiped by angels and created beings by Him in that day. But let's take Genesis as a starting point. Chapter 2 and verses 1-3 are clear: "Thus were completed heaven and earth, and all that they contain. On the seventh day God had completed his work and this seventh day God rested of the work he had been doing. God blessed the seventh day and made it a holy day because it was the day that he rested from all the work of creating that he had done". From creation to Moses were passed more than 2000 years. All this time the Sabbath had been the day of rest and reserved for worship. This proves that the argumentation that the Sabbath is for a Jew does not work. Actually the Sabbath is for mankind and the Earth rest.

Among dozens of quotes about the Sabbath, I want to mention just one more of the Old Testament: "Keep my Sabbaths holy, to be a covenant sign between Me and you, to know that I am the Lord your God "(Ezek. 20:20). It is a strong statement! No one can deny.

The opinion that Jesus has changed the rest day is false. There are dozens of direct quotes on the Saturday and no regard to their change or cancellation. The person must be very bad in text interpretation to find evidence of canceling the fourth commandment. "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath itself" (Mt 12: 8); He added: “The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man has authority over the Sabbath itself"(Mark 2: 27,28); "There were people who wanted to see if he would heal him on Saturday in order to accuse him. Jesus then said to the man's crippled hand: ‘Get up and come here’. Then he said to another: ‘Our law requires to do well on Saturday or to do evil? The law orders to save a life or let her die'"(Mark 3: 2,4)?.

Another very weak argumentation is to say that the apostle Paul abolished the rest on Saturday. The only moment he speaks of Saturday was in Colossians 2:16, 17. And in this passage he was referring to the Jewish holidays that they were named Saturday. And this name Sabbath means rest, cessation of work. If you think or interpret that Paul was speaking of the weekly Sabbath; you will be putting in doubt the text of the same author registered on other passage: "As he was used to, Paul was there and for three Saturday spoke to them about the Scriptures" (Acts 17: 2).

Dear reader, if you do not keep the Sabbath, is your decision. You are sovereign. To say that the rest on Saturday, the seventh day of the week, is not biblical, it is a serious mistake that will weigh in the Final Judgment. Satan attacks that day instituted by the Lord because it (the day) is the sign of God. It is the sign of God's authority. Keeping the Sabbath is a sign of 1) compliance, 2) belonging, 3) love, 4) recognition of Creation and 5) freedom.
