THE POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC SIDE OF LAUDATO SI: THE GREEN ENCYCLICAL

THE POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC SIDE OF LAUDATO SI: THE GREEN ENCYCLICAL

A Papal encyclical has never been so discussed as this. Laudato Si (Praise Be), Catholic document that is crossing the walls of the Church, can be the center of attention in politics and the world economy. The candidates for the American presidency, especially the Republicans, are suffering with questions of that Encyclical which sounded around the world politics. Laudato Si, in my view, was very happy about problems that involve politics and the economy. However, the mixture of the Church with State is not good; it never was. We can see in the text the bizarre intentions of the Church toward politics and the economy. I want you to see with your own eyes how the church is impertinent in the XXI century. We are about the healing of the deadly wound that the religious power received centuries ago as it has been said by Revelation 13. See the statements from encyclical that I consider more important concerning the politics and economics:

"Some axes which the Encyclical ... the disposal culture and the proposal of a new lifestyle" (Section 8)
"Climate change is a global problem with serious environmental, social, economic, and distributive policies, currently constituting a major challenge for humanity." (Section 25)
"A greater scarcity of water will cause the rising cost of food and various products that rely on their use. Some studies have pointed out the risk of suffering an acute shortage of water within a few decades, if urgent action is not taken. Environmental impacts could affect billions of people, and are expected to control the water by large global companies to become a major source of conflict in this century." (Section 31)
"True wisdom, the fruit of reflection, dialogue and generous meeting between people, do not get with a mere accumulation of data, which, in a kind of mental pollution, eventually saturate and confused." (Section 47)
"The external debt of poor countries has become an instrument of control, but it is not the same with the ecological debt." (Section 52)
"The problem is that not yet have the necessary culture to face this crisis and there is need to build leaders who to plot ways, seeking to meet the needs of present generations, all included, without jeopardizing future generations. It is essential to establish a legal system that includes inviolable limits and ensure the protection of ecosystems before the new forms of power derived from the techno-economic paradigm will eventually demolish them not only with politics, but with the freedom and righteousness." (Section 53)
"It worries the weakness of international political reaction." (Section 53)
"I grew the ecological sensitivity of the population, but is still insufficient to change the bad habits of consumption, which do not seem to decrease; before, expand and develop." (Section 55)
"’I tend to believe that’ every acquisition of power is simply progress, increased safety, utility, welfare, life force, fullness values ‘[83] as if reality, good and blossom truth spontaneously from the very power of technology and the economy. The truth is that "modern man was not educated to the right use of power’, [84] because the huge technological growth has not been accompanied by human development as the responsibility, to values, to consciousness." (Section 105)
"The economy takes all the technological development in terms of profit, without paying attention to possible negative consequences for humans. The finance stifles the real economy. They have not learned the lesson of the global financial crisis and, very slowly, we learn the lesson of environmental degradation. In some circles, it is argued that the current economy and technology will solve all environmental problems, just as it is stated, with non-academic language, the problems of hunger and misery in the world will be solved simply with market growth." (Section 109)
"...We need to ensure a scientific and social debate that is responsible and broad, able to consider all available information and call things by their name. Sometimes not put on the table to complete, but is selected according to their own interests, be they political, economic or ideological." (Section 135)
"...Economic growth tends to generate automatic and mix in order to streamline processes and reduce costs. Therefore, an economic ecology, capable of induce consideration of the reality more broadly is required." (Section 141)

NOW SEE THE GUIDELINES PROPOSED BY GREEN ENCYCLICAL TO THE ECOLOGICAL CRISIS
"We know that the technology based on fossil fuels - highly polluting, especially coal, but also oil and to a lesser extent, gas - Must be progressively and without delay, replaced" (Section 165)
"International negotiations cannot advance significantly because of the positions of countries that favor their national interests on the global common good. Those who must suffer the consequences we try to hide, remember this lack of awareness and responsibility." (Section 169)
"As Benedict XVI said, in line developed so far by the Church's social doctrine, ‘to manage the global economy, to revive economies hit by the crisis in order to prevent the worsening of the same and consequent larger imbalances, to make a timely and full disarmament, food security and peace, to ensure the protection of the environment and to regulate migration flows urges the presence of a true world political Authority, already outlined by my predecessor, [are] John XXIII.’ [129] From this perspective , diplomacy takes on an unprecedented importance, called to promote international strategies to prevent the most serious problems that ultimately affect everyone." (Section 175)
"…the right sometimes is insufficient due to corruption, it requires a political decision under population pressure. The company, through non-governmental organizations and intermediate associations, should force governments to develop regulations, stricter procedures and controls. If citizens do not control political power - national, regional and municipal - also cannot combat environmental damage." (Section 179).
"Politics should not submit to the economy, and this should not submit to the dictates and the paradigm of efficiency-technocracy. Thinking about the common good, today we need imperiously that politics and the economy in dialogue, if put firmly at the service of life, especially human life." (Section 189)
"Again I repeat that should prevent a magical conception of the market, which tends to think that the problems are solved only with earnings growth of companies or individuals. Inside the gain of the scheme there is no place to think about the rhythms of nature, in their degradation and regeneration times, and complexity of ecosystems which can be seriously altered by human intervention." (Section 190)
"It is true that, today, some economic sectors exert more power than the States themselves. But you cannot justify an economy without politics, because it would be unable to promote other logic to govern the various aspects of the current crisis." (Section 196)
"Politics and the economy tend to blame each other about poverty and environmental degradation. But the hope is that they recognize their own mistakes and find ways of interaction oriented to the common good. While some are strived only economic gain and others are obsessed only to preserve or increase the power, we have left wars or spurious agreements where the least interest to both parties is to preserve the environment and take care of the weakest . Here too the principle that ‘the unity is superior to the conflict’.” (Section 198)

I wish you well toke attention in bold parts. Make your conclusions. I did my! After reading and analyzing; I reached the following conclusions to the intentions of the Green Encyclical toward politics and the world economy: 1) The international policy failed. 2) She was not educated properly and need to re-educate themselves. 3) She needs a teacher. 4) Political unity is needed to tackle the world's problems that pervade the ecology.
The questions are: Who will be this teacher? What will be the lesson? What doctrine will be adopted? Then, it comes the Pope's strategy of genius, which in my view, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He presents himself as a person to the post of "true world political Authority" (section 175). Francis, the Jesuit, shows his claws when he says, "requires is a political decision under pressure from population" (section 179). Getting things by force reminds me of the Middle Ages.

I do not agree that he should be this teacher nor her doctrine be the matter. Francis and the Church have denied the eternal truths of God and emphasized the tradition. The Bible is against it. Jesus was clear when he said: "But he answered and said unto them: Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? And so made void by your tradition, the commandment of God" (Matthew 15: 3:06).
